Set it up

  • Set up a 10 × 10 m square with a cone on each corner.
  • Split the group across the corners, with two or three players and a ball at the starting cone.

How it works

  1. The first player passes to the next corner, then follows their pass to join that line.
  2. The receiver controls, passes to the next corner and follows.
  3. After two minutes, change direction to work the other foot.
  4. Once the rhythm is steady, add a second ball at the opposite corner.

Coaching points

  • Receive with the foot furthest from the ball so your body opens towards the next corner.
  • Move towards the ball to meet it rather than waiting for it.
  • Weight the pass so the receiver can play on without chasing it.
  • Move straight after passing: pass and move is the habit.
