Set it up
- Set up a 10 × 10 m square with a cone on each corner.
- Split the group across the corners, with two or three players and a ball at the starting cone.
How it works
- The first player passes to the next corner, then follows their pass to join that queue.
- The receiver controls, passes to the next corner and follows.
- After two minutes, change direction to work the other foot.
- Once the rhythm is steady, add a second ball at the opposite corner.
Coaching points
- Receive with the foot furthest from the ball so your body opens towards the next corner.
- Move towards the ball to meet it rather than waiting for it.
- Weight the pass so the receiver can play on without chasing it.
- Move straight after passing: pass and move is the habit.
