Set it up
- Make six to eight gates around the area, each from two cones about 1.5 m apart.
- Players work in pairs with one ball.
How it works
- Pairs move around the area and pass through a gate to their partner.
- Score a point for every pass through a gate that the partner controls.
- Pairs can’t use the same gate twice in a row.
- Play 60-second rounds with a short rest, then try to beat the score.
Coaching points
- Pass with the inside of the foot and keep the ankle firm for accuracy.
- Receiver: move to line up with the gate and show where you want the ball.
- Take your first touch towards the next gate you want to use.
- Talk or point so your partner knows where you’re going.
