Set it up

  • Mark a 30 × 20 m field with two small goals or cone gates at each end, one near each corner.
  • Make two teams of four. There are no goalkeepers.

How it works

  1. Each team attacks the two goals at one end and defends the two at the other.
  2. Teams can score in either of the goals they attack.
  3. Restart with a pass or dribble in from the side or goal line.
  4. Play four- or five-minute games and switch ends.

Coaching points

  • If one goal is crowded, switch play quickly to the other.
  • Attack with width: keep a player on each side.
  • Defenders shift across together as the ball moves.
  • Look up after every touch to see which goal is open.
